Get Stoked with the Columbia Gorge Windsurfing Association!
The Columbia Gorge Windsurfing Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization. With help from our members and community partners, we have been able to help create and maintain over 40 beaches along recreation, and host events like Windfest Weekend and swap meets.
Highlights from 2009 include:
- Getting 80 local kids on the water through weekly summer camps and free drop in sessions
- Scrubbing down the Hatch, Doug's, and the Hook at annual clean up parties
- Hosting a clinic for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Columbia Gorge
- An outstanding Windfest celebration, with real live wind!
- Awarding the Gorge Windsurfer of the Year to Bruce Peterson for his notable work on kids programs in the Gorge
- Further development of an annual strategic plan
