Event Site Camp Host Job Description for 2007
Are you looking for a place to park your RV for summer 2007? The Port of Hood River is looking for an Event Site Host for this season. Please see the job description (PDF, 67 kb) and email the Port for an application (porthr@gorge.net).
Current Plan
Hood River Waterfront Access Zones: Fall floods extended the sand bar at the mouth of the Hood River westward. CGWA has partnered with the Port of Hood River and the Gorge Kiteboarding Association to develop guidelines that will help beach users share this new terrain safely. Sail safe! See images of the new signs to learn about the new access zones.
The Expanding Delta
Fall 2006 was a season of floods. As a result, 26 new acres of sediment were deposited at the mouth of the Hood River at the sandbar. This is a picture from January 2007, looking down on the sandbar from White Salmon, Washington. [Click image for larger version.]
