Dog Leash Law reminder- April 2004. The Corps has a dog leash law: Dogs must be on a leash at all times. Leash no longer than 6 feet. Law will be more strictly enforced this year, and citations will be issued... I believe fines start at $75.
Vault toilet installed- February 2004. CGWA will no longer have to rent porta-potties here, saving us about $1,000. Thank you Mark Eddings and the US Army Corps of Engineers.
2001- CGWA has provided the porta-potties at Rufus for the last few years. This means that the Association arranges for the delivery and maintenance and pays for same. One porta-potty normally is ordered May 1st, another two for June 1st, and all three are removed at the end of September. CGWA membership dues provide for this service.
1997- CGWA has agreed to provide port-a-potties at this site for the 1997 sailing season. A work party is also scheduled to repair some of the beach and road damage.
