Hey kids! Want to try windsurfing or meet other young rippers? Check out these programs:
- Drop-In Youth Windsurfing Sessions. Need some time-on-the-water practice? CGWA drop-in sessions are made for you! These supervised sessions are available for any kid, locals and visitors, who wants to get more time on the water. We provide the gear, you just have to show up (and have prior windsurfing experience). These sessions are free thanks to our many parent volunteers who donate their time. Thanks parents!
- Dates: Tuesdays through Thursdays, June 24-August 14
- Time: 4:30-6
- Cost: FREE!
- Bring: CGWA has equipment (including wetsuits and lifejackets) that you can use; you're welcome to bring your own gear if you'd prefer.
- Prior windsurfing experience required
- Windsurfing Camps for local kids - CGWA and Hood River Parks and Recreation are excited to offer these discounted week-long camps to kids in the Hood River district. Come out and see what windsurfing is all about, or ask our instructor how to imrove your current skills.

- Time: 1-4pm
- Cost: $90
- Bring: Snacks to keep you energized. We have gear and wetsuits that you can use; you're welcome to bring your own if you'd prefer.

- Donate Your Windsurfing Gear- There are several programs available that can make use of your unneeded but still functional windsurfing equipment. For example --> Exchange your old wetsuits at Promotion’s Live Earth wetsuit swap- In an effort to keep older wetsuits out of landfills while at the same time making the sport available to our community, Promotion would like to take your old wetsuit in trade. Through November 1st, 2007, Promotion will be accepting all brands in trade for a discount on a new wetsuit. Trade-in’s will be given to the CGWA’s youth windsurfing program. Thanks Promotion!
